Combine that with a closeted need to know about the actual lives of celebrities (I won't actually buy an entertainment magazine, but finding one at the gym negates my brain possibly turning to mush with all that useless information). Hobbies, Passions and More

So here we go. I have many passions in life. Besides the obvious being my beautiful husband and amazing daughter, my passions include interior design, fashion (shoes in particular) and now that I've had a baby, kid's stuff. I plan to profile many of my amazing finds in all three of those categories. I'm also planning to pursue a degree in nursing which I would like to start next year, I'll keep you up to date on that as well as a few other of my sideline little projects. We are currently renovating our 1952 bungalow so I'll be keeping a running log of that as well. Feel free to offer comments and/or advice and ask any questions you many have. I would love to share!

One of our first home updates was to get rid of our ancient ancient furniture and replace it with nice yet baby durable things. This was a tough task since we had priorities of it being high quality but for not too much $$. We had good success with everything, but my favorite find was a small furniture store in Inglewood in Calgary, Alberta called Rustic Residence. They sell some antiques but mostly reproductions. Excellent selection, great styles and decent prices. The owner, Dwayne, was extremely accomodating, friendly and really went out of his way to make us happy. I would go back over and over.

Being Tara
